Practice performance, timing, and technique.

Dubbing or ADR is the replacement of an on-screen actor’s voice with a different performer. The main difference between them is dubbing has the replacement performer speaking a different language. Dubbing is most common in Japanese anime.

The main focus of this class is performance, technique and timing for dubbing. Mock dubbing sessions are dedicated to getting you up to speed for how a typical dubbing session works. You will be assigned characters and asked to prepare your work for a mock recording.

You will be training with experienced Ocean Studios voice director Jack Cox and learn the basics of dubbing for anime and other foreign media. You will feel like you're in an actual session and Jack's efficient and encouraging approach will help you make good choices for auditions and bookings.
