Elysia Rotaru found her love and her niche in the theatre at Simon Fraser University. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in theatre performance. Her career as an actor took off in 2008 and since then Elysia has landed numerous guest star roles in both television series and films. Her love for the business lead her to start producing, and now Elysia, is also an international award winning filmmaker, with her most recent short film, FWD, touring in film festivals around the globe.
Concurrently with her growing ‘on camera’ career, Elysia is a sought after Voice-Over actor in both the US, Canada. Due to her versatility and range, Elysia works in all fields of the voice-over industry and has hundreds of projects under her belt from commercials, to animation, video games, promo, to voicing operating systems for companies. She has lent her voice to over 300 campaigns including: Nordstrom, McDonalds, Crayola, Crispi Minis, Evo Car Share, ICBC, TELUS, BC HYDRO, BC Nurses, WCLC, Shaw, Vancity, Panago Pizza, Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Campaign, Destination Canada and many more. Elysia can also be heard in My Little Pony, Lego Star Wars, Nina’s World and Corner Gas.
Wanting to be a mentor for others Elysia, is an acting coach, for both On Camera and Voice Over. Her intuitive and technical teaching style helps people connect and utilize their entire being to help support the work.
