With over 20 years of experience, Michael’s voice has appeared in over 2000 projects. Michael just received a nomination for Best Performance in an Animated Program or Series at the 2016 Leo Awards and a nomination for Best Voice at the 2015 UBCP/ACTRA Awards. He’s currently narrating the 2nd season of Cabin Truckers and the 1st season of Floating Homes. And currently playing ‘Krux/Dr. Saunders’ on “Ninjago”, ‘Coach Dwayne’ on “Chuck’s Choice”. Look for Michael’s voice in the upcoming animated feature ‘Sausage Party’ and in the animated series ‘Nexo Knights’. You may recognize him as the voice of NBC, BC Honda, Central Bank, Nautilus, Spectrum Reach and Access Communications, and as characters in the animated series’ Ace Ventura, My Little Pony, George of the Jungle, Iron Man, Inuyasha, Kid vs Kat, Geronimo Stilton, Leap Frog, Barbie Movies and Nerds and Monsters.
Noel Johansen’s 18-year voice-over career started in New York, continued in Los Angeles, and is now thriving in Vancouver. He has done over a thousand commercials, and worked on many narration and animation series as well as promos and video games.
As a voice over talent, currently, Noel is the promo voice in the TBS’s “America’s Greatest Makers” in the States, “Jesus” in the 6 year running animation series “Superbook” and “General Garg” on Lego Nexo-Knights and is the voice of over 7 commercial campaigns in Canada and the United States . He has been the voice of Panasonic, Nokia, Futureshop, Shaw TV, BC Honda, Ford Alberta, and the Vancouver Aquarium. In terms of narration, he has narrated shows including Hollywood’s Greatest Stunts and Tube Tales.

When students contact On The Mic, Harrison is the friendly and knowledgeable voice on the other end. James Bond had M and Q - think of Harrison as our M and Q all wrapped up in one person. Harrison comes from a broadcasting and radio background, he is very familiar with the Voice-Over industry he will happily answer questions and assist On The Mic students in getting the most value out of their programs. Harrison also handles all the Online Marketing for the school. If you see a post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube he is likely responsible. His goal is to build a community around the school that starts with students and their dream to become professional Voice-Over Artists.

Nicole Oliver has worked for over twenty years in the entertainment industry as an actor, producer, and director. Nicole has been nominated by her peers for several Leo Awards for her work on both the small and big screen and just recently won the UBCP/ACTRA award for Best Voice for her work in animation. She has provided her voice-over expertise to over 100 companies including American Express, Wireless Wave, Club House, and Mcdonalds, and she has voiced innumerable animation programs such as Littlest Pet Shop, My Little Pony, Tom & Jerry, Strawberry Shortcake and the Barbie™ franchise.
Nicole is the recipient of both the Founders Award for leadership and sustainability and the Chancellors Award for highest academic achievement. Nicole was recently honoured on International Woman’s Day by the Union of BC Performers for her contributions to the Union, Industry and causes of Social Justice.
Michael entered the arts in his community theater program in the mid 1990's. He then moved to Vancouver British Columbia to pursue acting professionally in September of 2000. Actor and voice artist Sarah Edmondson has been working in film and television since 1997 and has been creating original voices for characters in animation series like Transformers Cybertron (Lori), and Class of the Titans (Atlanta). Her commercial work includes the private, public, and non-profit sector, including McDonald’s, the Government of Alberta, Honda, Microsoft, BCLC, ICBC, Rogers, Moxie’s, Great Western Breweries, TELUS, Toyota, Triple O’s, and Looking Glass Foundation.
In 2011, she starred in the popular cartoon series Geronimo Stilton, in which she voiced Thea Stilton, a member of the crime-solving mouse family. In 2015, she starred in The Little Prince (The Rose) and as Sydney Gardner in Max Steel. Most recently, she has done voices for My Little Pony and Dinotrux, with episodes to be released in 2017.

Lee has lent his voice to hundreds of well-loved characters, in over five thousand episodes of animation and dozens of animated movies on the big & small screens. In 2008, Seth McFarlane (Family Guy) presented Lee with the "ELAN" award for “Best Male Voice Over Artist of the Year”, for his performance of George in “George of the Jungle”. His career has continued to flourish, voicing shows such as Beast Wars, X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man & Fantastic Four. In 2015, Lee won the UBCP Award for Best Animated Voice for the part of Pronto the Magnificent in the upcoming show “Slugterra”.
Lee is writing a feature film ‘The Grym Possession of Chesterfield Couch’, creating an online radio station “ONUR RADIO”, & producing the much-anticipated web-series “FANBUILT”, which shall bring voice actors from around the world together with animation schools.
Andrea Libman has been doing voice-over professionally since she was in diapers...okay not literally but almost. Recently she won the UBCP/ACTRA Award for Best Voice for her work on the animated series My LIttle Pony. Andrea is also a Leo Award nominated actress and has worked as a voice-over actor for more than twenty years. She has had roles on numerous animated TV series, including Madeline on the Emmy winning program The New Adventures of Madeline, Emmy in DragonTales, young AndrAIa in Reboot, and Cathy in Monster Buster Club. Andrea brings a unique perspective as a performer who began working in animation and commercial voice-over at a young age and continues to do so as an adult.
Recently, she’s voiced the characters of Lemon Meringue, Pupcake and Princess Berrykin in Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures and Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Upcoming projects include Maya the Bee and Pac-Man: The Adventure Begins.

He has recently worked with LA legends Charlie Adler in Exchange Student Zero and Kris Zimmerman in Kong King of The Apes and Dinotrux. Karl Willems has been an animation voice director working primarily in Vancouver for over 20 years. He started out as a sound engineer and then was very soon not allowed to touch the buttons anymore. Instead, he was allowed to tell actors what to do. He has directed many pre-lay animation series over the years, several video games and countless episodes of ADR (dubbed) animation. During this time, he has worked extensively with most of the voice-over talent in the city. He has won both a Leo Award and an SPJA Award.
After dialogue polishing for Roger Corman's New Horizons Productions in Los Angeles, Jack Cox came to Vancouver to pursue a career in animation. For the last five years he has been working as a voice director and dialogue polisher for ADR animation, as well as directing countless auditions. He has also done numerous dialogue polishes on straight to DVD features that he hopes will never see the light of day, otherwise he'll have to change his name.
His voice directing and dialogue polishing credits include Mune: Guardian of the Moon, B-Daman Fireblast, Cardfight Vanguard, Little Prince and World Trigger.
Gabe has been an actor in the film and TV industry for 26 years. He started his voice career in 2002, landing his first cartoon series He-man and the Masters of the Universe as Orko and Mekaneck. Since then he has voiced many youthful and quirky voices. Playing the energetic, teen Spinner in Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5, to comic relief animals in several Barbie movies. Gabe was featured in the videogame Dead Rising 2 and the Film Escape from Planet Earth. He has appeared in numerous cartoon series such as Dr. Dimension Pants, Pac-Man: The Adventure Begins, Sara Solves It, Voltron Force, X-men Evolution and many more.
The Anime world has featured Gabe’s talent in many shows. Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Gundam Seed, Inuyasha, Hamtaro, Mega Man: NT Warrior etc. Gabe has also voiced radio commercials like Telus, Big Rock Ale, and Seven Eleven just to name a few.
Bill Mondy has achieved success in film, television and theatre in a career that spans over twenty-five years and uses those same skills to approach his notable voiceover work. Bill has narrated numerous shows including Missing Persons: The First 48 on A&E, Last Day of the Dinosaurs on Discovery Edge OfWar on Military and China’s Warrior King for National Geographic. He’s voiced hundreds of radio and Television ads with national campaigns including: Dodge, E*TRADE, Jack Daniels, Panasonic, Heritage Canada and A&W to name a few. He's created many characters for animated series including Johnny Test, Supernoobs, and Transformers; as well as being a Promo voice for Disney and CBS. Born and raised in Rochester NY he received a BFA from University of Illinois and an MFA from New York University’s Graduate Acting Program. Bill now divides his time between Los Angeles and Vancouver.
Fiona Hogan is a New York Actress who has been working professionally in Vancouver for the past 16 years. When she first moved to Canada she ran The Ivana Chubbuck Acting Studio for four years. After becoming a Landed Immigrant, Fiona started working steadily in the film, TV and Voice Over industry. She has appeared opposite Will Smith, David Arquette, Toni Collette, Jason Lee, to name a few. She has voiced hundreds of TV and radio spots (Honda, Mervyn’s, Shoppers Drug Mart, Boston Pizza, American Cancer Society, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, to name a few) and done both pre-lay and dubbing in animation (Alienators:Evolution, ARK, Arjuna, I, Robot, A Very Fairy Christmas).
She continues to coach actors on and off sets while the musical she co-wrote is being turned into a feature film produced by Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida.
Tony Alcantar is an internationally renowned dialect coach who’s worked with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars on the biggest shows: FARGO, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, ALTERED CARBON, A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS and more. Many of the actors he has worked with have been Oscar, Golden Globe and/or Emmy nominees/winners.
Born and raised in Chicago, Tony received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts in Acting and Theatre from Chicago’s Roosevelt University. Devon's commitment to capturing pristine audio recordings allows students to have access to professional examples of their work at their own home studio.
Devon ensures that students are set up ideally in their home studio, advises on software and sound interface options, microphone positioning & technique and software. He prides himself on attention to detail. From start to finish, Devon facilitates a professional experience & professional results.
With over 17 years of teaching and coaching experience, Erin Aubrey is in high demand as a voice teacher and vocal/piano coach. Her clients range from heavy metal singers, to opera singers and actors, and even major film and television production studios. She’s appeared as a guest artist and lecturer at several private schools in the local community, and has directed/ musically directed over 12 musicals for kids/teens over the last number of years.
Her wealth of knowledge in vocal technique/musicianship stems from over 28 years of private and academic study, (including a Masters Degree from the renowned Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York) as well extensive experience as a performer: as a singer/songwriter, opera singer and studio session singer; with big bands, jazz trios, symphonies, chamber and full orchestras, folk bands and jug bands; and even as a busker on the streets of Italy and France! She’s also an accomplished actress with numerous theater, film and television credits.
Meghan moved easily between voice, television and film. Recognized for her bravery, humour, confidence and emotional range. As a voice actor, she played celebrated roles in X Men Evolution, My Scene, Clash of the Titans and Max Steel. Coupled with countless voice commercials. As well guest-starred on multiple series and was a lead in the long running series Edgemont.
As an acting coach Meghan is charged by helping others reach beyond their preconceived potential. A continuing student in the field of leadership and human potential, Meghan uses compassion, respect, humour bold honesty to move her students to their best.
Sean is a professionally trained audio engineer dedicated to combining his passion for the arts with his passion for people. He is a classically trained musician holding a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance from the University of British Columbia and was selected as the recipient of the Dylan Memorial Bursary to attend Nimbus School of Recording and Media in 2016. Outside of On The Mic Sean has interned and continues to volunteer at Monarch Studios (Tom Dobrzanski, The Zolas).
Warren is a trained Music Producer and audio professional with over 20 years experience in songwriting and composition. He started with voice and piano at age seven and wrote his first song at thirteen. He has toured the nation as frontman for Canadian Rock band Senticsphere, and released four studio recordings, his most recent recorded at Warehouse Studios, Vancouver, BC. e has received radio play across Canada for the band’s singles "On The Edge" and "The Scene", which also made it on the interactive music video game Rhythm Zone. After attending Nimbus School of Recording & Media he was hired by Juno award winning producer Garth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers) to assist on the new Damn Fools single and by Gold Record producer Nygel Asselin (Half Moon Run) to assist on the new The Lion, The Bear, and The Fox record. Whether he's producing an artist, composing a score for film, or working on sound design, Warren always brings professionalism, good vibes and care into the mix.

Rhona is a seasoned performer with more than 20 years experience behind the mic voicing commercials, animation, dubbing projects and narration. She enjoyed a busy commercial career as in Australia before moving to Vancouver in 2012. Locally, Rhona can be heard voicing commercials for American Girl, Huggies, Dr Bernstein and Happy Planet to name a few. Rhona’s animation credits include My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, LBX, Trumpocalypse and a Hasbro series she can’t tell you about just yet!
As well as voicing projects, Rhona loves to create content, and hopes to produce her own animated series some day in the not to distant future.
Kazumi’s career began on the stage, performing professionally with Vancouver’s top theatre companies such as the Arts Club’s Mary Poppins and Avenue Q; Vancouver Playhouse’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and La Cage Aux Folles; and Vancouver Opera’s Eugene Onegin. For the past seven years she has voiced many characters in major animated series and features such as: Skipper; several of the Barbie movies, Rogue; Wolverine Evolution, Iris; Lolirock, Amanda; Doctor Dimensionpants, Adagio Dazzle; Equestria Girls- Rainbow Rocks, Jan (UBCP/ACTRA Award Nominee); Monster Beach, Eleanor; Under Wraps, Mad Madeline; The Deep, Saffi; Bob The Builder, Penny and Munch Munch; Mack & Moxy, Laura Hanasaki; Little Battler’s Experience, Octavia, Moondancer, and the singing voice of Rarity; My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Apart from Animation, Kazumi has lent her voice to campaigns such as McDonalds, Encorp Return it Depot, and the Shaw Bot Family. Kazumi’s voice can also be heard in the brand new Netflix series We’re Lalaloopsy as Jewel Sparkle.
Erin is a professional AEA/CAEA/SAG/AFTRA actress who has worked Off Broadway and Regionally in the USA and Canada for over 15 years. She has been in the audio book industry since 2005 starting as a director and editor before moving onto narration in 2009. She is an award winning narrator of close to 200 novels for Audible.com, Recorded Books, Tantor Audio, Harper Collins, Hachette, Brickshop Audio, John Marshal, Common Mode, Deyan Audio, and Pete Rohan. Favorite audio book recordings include YA novels: The Sisters Red (Earphones & Best YA Books of 2010 Awards from AudioFile Magazine), The Carnival at Bray (Earphones Award), Finding Winnie (Earphones award) and she is the exclusive narrator for award winning Canadian author Miriam Toews. Erin is celebrated for her faculty with accents and singing in books having narrated entire books in multiple southern accents, general American, Canadian and British as well as frequently portraying characters with Irish, French, Italian, Scottish and more. She has also narrated non fiction for world renowned Yoga and holistic health authors. She is a 5 time contributor to the Good Life Project podcast and was a guest on the Superwoman Chronicles and Together Guide Podcasts. Erin has also done VO work for the game Mindfuel and multiple author web pages for Worthy Marketing Group. She is thrilled to be a new Vancouver transplant and part of the On the Mic faculty.
Brian began directing professionally in England and later returned to Canada where he has received awards and recognition for having made a ‘significant and lasting contribution to Alberta’s theatrical heritage.’ With experience and interests ranging from the classics onwards, including musicals, revues and opera, Brian has four decades of experience as a stage director, an acting and dialect coach, and a theatre educator. Recent memorable directing experiences include Hamlet, Arcadia, Into The Woods, The Lark, The Mikado, Noises Off, The Beggar’s Opera and Macbeth. Since returning to Vancouver, Brian has been a busy dialect coach and has directed stage productions such as Welcome To Thebes, ‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore, and last year’s Ovation Award-winning musical, COMPANY. In the spring, Brian will direct the west coast premiere of Lucy Prebble’s play, ENRON.
